Payment Policy
Patterson Dog & Cat Hospital accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Care Credit, and cash as payment for your pet’s services. Payment is due at the time services are rendered and a deposit may be required for hospitalization or surgery.
New clients are required to pre-pay the exam fee over the phone with a credit card when scheduling their first appointment. See the New Patient Center for details.
Pet Insurance
Pet Insurance works differently than human health insurance. It actually works more like a property insurance policy, like your car insurance or homeowners insurance. We “accept” pet insurance from all pet insurance providers. What that means is that you, as the policy owner, have a relationship directly with your pet insurance provider. How most of them work is that you pay for your services at the veterinary clinic and then submit a claim to your insurance company. Depending on your policy, the insurance company directly reimburses you as the pet owner. If you need medical records or invoices submitted to your pet insurance company, let us know. We will be happy to assist you with filing your insurance claim.
If you are looking to get pet insurance, these are good resources for information about insurance companies and what is available:
